Environmental Superintendent- Stellar Recruitment

This is your chance to position yourself with one of Australia’s most well-known players within the coal sector. A rare opportunity has recently developed for an experienced Environmental Superintendent to come on board and provide specialist advice across multiple sites in Central Queensland. 

Reporting directly to the Sustainability Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provision of recommendations regarding environmental risk and planning including site-wide EMPs and rehabilitation planning

  • Assist, coach and mentor Environmental Coordinators

  • Maintain Environmental measures against agreed performance targets, including accurate and timely reporting.

  • Implementation and periodic review of EMS policies, plans and procedures to ensure compliance and improvement

  • Supervision, leadership and mentoring of other environment professionals 

  • Ensuring compliance with environmental policies and government legislation 

  • Develop, implement and Maintain section budgets and financial plans

  • Overall management of complex programs including NGERs, EEOs and NPIs

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or similar 

  • Five plus years of experience in a similar role

  • A strong coal background

  • Exposure to open cut or underground mining

  • S1, S2 and S3 competencies

  • A manual drivers license

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • A high level of computer literacy

  • A high level of self motivation and enthusiasm

  • Strong interpersonal and people management abilities
