This position requires an experienced Safety Officer who will ensure the company’s OH&S systems, relevant legislation and industry codes of practice are met. Helping to create and foster a safe working environment that’s zero harm is your ultimate goal. To do this you’ll be involved in on-site inspections, sign offs, reporting and updating OH&S files.
Qualifications and experience:

Commercial construction experience

Ideally degree qualified in OHS

Have successfully held this position previously

Strong understanding of on-site safety policy and regulations

The ability to confidently give direction

You will need to have excellent written and oral communication
It will be your job to enhance safety and give greater understanding to all employees throughout the business so that it remains engrained in work practice and procedure. The role will involve liaising with the Site Manager so that important legislative requirements are adhered to.
