One of our business units, PT. BARAMUTIARA PRIMA (BMP) is a coal mining company, with area of exploration activities is located in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Currently BMP is undergoing Mine and Supporting Infrastructure construction and under a 20 years supply contract with the National Utility Company’s, BMP is due to make initial deliveries into 3 new coal Fired Power Plant in West Java for approximately 2,4 million tons per-annum.

Safety Supervisor
Job Description:
Prepare Safety and Occupational Health plan and program for the whole company
Accountable to supervise the implementation of Safety, Occupational Health & risk control program
Perform inspection regularly at operational area including contractor in order to make safe operation
Perform accident investigation, find root cause and provide recommendations in order to avoid similar accidents happened
Support KTT in providing reports and plan as required by MEMR
Accompany Mines Inspector in conducting accident investigation
Provide material for crew safety talks
Maintain Safety record and provide report regularly
Develop, implement and monitor Safety & Occupational Health strategies and policies.
Requirement:
Bachelor degree from Mining Engineering, Geological, Civil Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety/ Public Health, Mechanical Engineering.
Any competency or attended safety course or involve in safety is an advantage
Minimum 3 years’ experience at the similar position preferably from coal mining industries.
Have good analytical skills for control and problem-solving, excellent consulting and negotiation skills, honest, able to work under pressure, both works independently and as a team
Familiar with the rules, regulations and standard of Government Safety & Occupational Health
